Xmas in China HO HO HO!

Have you ever seen a Chinese Santa before? :) / Abias visto un Santa Chino antes?

I ( Maria ) know I'm a tad late on our China Xmas pictures but better late than never.  We are very lucky to live in a community that gives us the opportunity to celebrate our Western traditions.  We are especially fortunate to have a group of Chinese locals be apart of our traditions to make us Foreigners feel at home while living abroad.

Beverly Garden is the community we live at and I have to say we are extremely lucky to live in such a happy and quiet little community.  The staff is great and I enjoy practicing my Mandarin with them.  On occasion I hang out in the front office and practice the Mandarin I learned for the day.  The staff gets a kick out of me pronouncing the words.  They seem to be impressed with what I know so far, but sometimes I think they're just trying to be nice. he he

Some of the staff along with some Expats put together a Xmas Party for us.  We had a mixture of Western and Chinese food.  The best part of the whole night was the diversity of people that joined the event.  It was our first Xmas Party that we've been at that had people from all over the world; American, Korean, Chinese, Mexican ( just me, but still), Japanese, European and I'm sure I'm missing some.
