Lets BLOW it UP!

One of the MUST HAVE items to get ready for the Chinese New Year is FIREWORKS!!  We hear China has one of the most amazing firework shows int he world because not only special events have access to fireworks, but also locals can buy pretty much anywhere. Chinese New Years lasts about 15 days and it's 15 days of non-stop fireworks until about midnight.
So this past weekend we took a one day trip to Lian Shan about 2 hours from where we live.  Lian Shan is a small town with a population of a little over 1000 people.  Our driver told us that it was the best place to buy large quantities of fireworks for the cheapest price.  The shops that surround our neighborhood mark up the prices since it is on large city grounds.

When we arrived at the shop our eyes were wide open looking at all the goodies!  It was hard to leave after seeing how inexpensive everything was.  We spent about $100 US and it looked like we were getting ready for war.  Arturo of course was the most excited, he kept saying " I want to buy the whole store" and " My brother would go crazy if he saw this!" lol

Spanish Translation (ST):

Imginense, 15 dias de pura tronadera! he he

Wow!  That's all we can say.

ST: Wow! Es todo lo que podemos decir.

Those boxes were the mid size fireworks.

ST: Esas cajas son cuetes medianos.

This is what we ended up buying.  It may not look like a lot because everything is so well packaged but it's ALOT.  The cardboard box are the BIG fireworks.  Like the ones they use for 4th of July.  We only spend $30 US on that.
