A few weeks ago we visited Seoul, South Korea . We were so impressed with South Korea, it was so clean and Americanized. Check this out......cars actually wait for you to cross the street! We couldn't believe it. lol :) We treated ourselves to some good TGI Fridays and Outbacks. Boy we sure missed it. Although South Korea has a lot of American influence, it is great to still see and experience a different side of Asian culture.
I saw these and saw everyone else taking pictures with them, so I said what the hell. When in Rome........ :)

It's perfect to have a BBQ now and we were invited by our good friend Tom. He and his friends made us feel welcome in their home. They live about an hour away from us and it was nice to get out of the big city for the day. They had lamb, jumbo shrimp, fish and clams... mmmm :) Very different from the usual "carne asadas" we're used to, it was good.

Living in China has brought us many opportunities. We've seen so much and done so much. We feel very grateful and fortunate to be able to experience all the great wonders of Asia.
Besides exploring China we also wanted to venture out and see Bail, Indonesia. What can we say.... "It was amazing!". Everything is so alive and fresh! The people are really nice, very happy to welcome foreigners to their island. Not to mention the FOOD! The food is to die for. Everything we ate there was delicious. :)
Bali is like being in your very own "Discovery Channel". It has amazing forests with exotic wildlife. The further you get from the tourist areas the more you get to experience the true Balinese Culture. People working the rice fields, children and their parents taking baths at the lake and not to forget the women balancing those amazingly heavy baskets on their heads.
We learned that about 80% of the people are Hindu so there are more temples than homes. Every house and business has their own private temple. (Below are some pictures)
